Having Fun at Bottle Tree Park - May 2008

On a bright and sunny morning of 16 Feb 2008, Happy Angels brought 18 children from the Chen Su Lan Methodist Children's Home to the Bottle Tree Park for an excursion. The private park which is located in Yishun, includes a seafood restaurant, a small pond for simulated 'longkang' style fishing, prawn 'fishing', kids' pole rod fishing, DIY vegetable farming, a mini zoo and many others. Upon arriving at the park, the children were brought on a mini tour around the park by the park's tour guide where he wowed them with the various floras and faunas residing there. After the tour, the children were treated to a sumptous lunch before proceeding to their favourite station, the longkang fishing pond! Screams of joy could be heard every time a fish was netted, and that was just from the Angels! After the longkang fishing experience, the children were given a small fish tank each to house the fishes they caught. After the prize giving ceremony for the most number of fishes caught and mini-quiz, we bade farewell to a beautiful experience at Bottle Tree Park and headed for home sweet home.
