COURSE OBJECTIVES

* to help participants understand the importance of basic people handling skills and concepts
* to develop their interpersonal skills, teamwork skills and negotiation skill
* to help them apply these skills more effectively in the workplace

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

The objectives of Interpersonal Skills training are to enable the participant to:

* improve the skills necessary to interact constructively in a one-to-one and group situation
* practice these skills until proficiency is achieved
* understand his or her strengths and weaknesses in interpersonal skills
* learn how to continue to grow and master these skills

The objectives of Teamwork Skills training are to enable the participant to:

* recognize the importance of effective teamwork
* enhance teamwork in order to resolve specific organizational problems
* explore the need for improvement in teamwork
* explore ways to strengthen teamwork skills

The objectives of Negotiation Skills training are to enable the participant to:

* understand the basics of negotiation
* better understand how a negotiating session works and what its key elements are
* understand their own strengths and weaknesses in negotiating
* strengthen their own negotiating skills
* explore how a positive negotiating position will sustain a positive collaborative atmosphere after negotiations have concluded
